Process

Cultivation

Cultivation is a process of agricultural activity carried out as home based self employment in the beneficiaries home as home garden 

Selection of Suitable Families

Under this process a careful selection process is carried out to select suitable families to participate in this program. When we select the suitable families following criteria will be applied. 

1. Poverty line – Families below the poverty line will be given priority. 

2. Willingness – The families who are willing to do the cultivation.

3. Land Availability – At least minimum scale of land size will be O5 perches

Training & Land preparation

Following steps will be followed under this process;

  1. About the project

  1. Soil testing 
  2.  Land preparation 
  3. Using organic fertilizers
  4. Preparing beds for cultivation

Continues Monitoring

Under this activity, continues monitoring process will be undertaken from cultivation to harvest.

Harvesting

Under this activity we will train all farmers about harvesting techniques and all harvested aloe vera leaves will be bought back from the farmers. A guaranteed price for their harvested aloe vera will be ensured.

PGDP Rs.15 Million Agricultural Product

Production

For this production process a comprehensive production setup will be created and minimum of 500 direct jobs and many indirect jobs also will be created in the district.

Collection of harvested aloe vera

Under this activity we will ensure all harvested Aloe Vera leaves will be bought back and bring to the factory for further processing. A guaranteed price per kg will be ensured to the beneficiaries.

Processing

Under this activity collected Aloe Vera leaves will be used to extract the gel and will be used for final products.

Manufacturing re-usable product ( Aloe powder)

Under this activity we will produce Aloe Vera powder which will be the main raw material for many cosmetics products.

Currently 90%, of the requirements are getting imported from India. Once if we produce this Aloe Vera powder then we can use it for our local consumption and the balance can be exported.

Manufacturing End User Productcs

Under this activity, the following end user products will be produced:

  1. Cosmetic Products
  2. Food & Dairy Products
  3. Pharmaceutical Products

PGDP Rs. 95 Billion Industrial Production

By producing yaks additional products and converting 15 Billion LKR worth of Aloe Vera leaves into final products the total value will be increased by 80 Billion LKR.

Thereby the total incremental to the PGDP will be 80+15 = 95 Billion LKR

Sales & Marketing

Under this activity all manufactured products will be ensured either it’s been sold Locally or Internationally.

Local Distribution

Under this activity 25 District Distributers will be appointed and will be ensured every citizen of the country have reached to the Aloe Vera products.

Local Marketing

Under this activity we will ensure our locally manufactured aloe vera products surpass the international imported qualities and replaced all imported aloe vera products.

Export and International distribution

Since we have enough inquiries from the international distribution companies and also, we have ensured international quality standards earning 350 Million USD from this export won’t be a big issue.

International Marketing

Under this activity we will ensure a reasonable international market share will be achieved.

Foreign Exchange USD$ 350 Million Export Revenue

By exporting 80% of local Aloe Vera products we will ensure 350 Million USD as foreign trade income.
